Uglies
At first, I thought this book was going to be the most shallow book I ever read.
But it turned out to be much, much better than I expected.
Uglies brought up some really good points in relation to an ordinary teenager's life, issues about the environment, about friends, about society today and our obsession with looks and materialistic things, and about how we need to repress the urges to become what society wants us to be and to be ourselves and help to change the world.
After reading Uglies, I had high hopes for the next books. But by far, Uglies was the best.
